Agnes Jean Herbertson Obituary, Death –  It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Agnes Jean Herbertson, a cherished member of the Gold Coast Table Tennis Association (GCTTA) family. Agnes departed peacefully on Wednesday, 7th February 2024, at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of love, commitment, and dedication to the sport she held dear. Agnes was not merely a member of GCTTA; she was a Foundation Member, a Life Member, and an integral part of the club’s history.

Her unwavering passion for table tennis and her commitment to fostering camaraderie within the community made her a true matriarch of the club. Agnes’s influence extended far beyond the confines of the table, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on September 12, 1929, Agnes witnessed nearly a century of change, yet her spirit remained resilient and vibrant. Her contributions to the Gold Coast Table Tennis community were immeasurable, and her presence will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing the court with her.

Agnes is survived by her loving daughter, Jill, and devoted grandson, Ethan. Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to them and the entire Herbertson family during this difficult time. To honor and celebrate Agnes’s remarkable life, Gold Coast Table Tennis will be holding a Memorial Service – “A Celebration of Life.
